Ditch the Clutter. Live Simply Organized.
Everyone has a little extra stuff lying around the house, and regardless of how much stuff we have (or pretend not to have), we can all benefit from an afternoon of decluttering. Unfortunately, there is no one-size fits all approach to decluttering. And when it comes down to it, we’re all super busy!
So how can you gain control of your belongings on a tight schedule? You have to do what works for you! By getting rid of the things that no longer serve you, you create space for the things that do. Realistically though, there is no way your entire house is going to get decluttered within a day, so the key is to make a plan that works for you and your schedule.
My goal: to help you transform your space so you can spend more time doing the things you love with the people you love. Your goal: a home that brings you joy! So let’s ditch the clutter and take control of your space. Little by little, you can turn your home into the sanctuary you want it to be.
Your next step is to download my thorough decluttering guide and get to work! You might find that decluttering is a great stress relief, or that the freedom you enjoy with all the space you’ve reclaimed is your motivation to keep going.
To start, map out the areas you want to declutter and plan on setting aside 15-30 minutes a day (or ten if that’s all you can spare) and declutter as much stuff as you can in that timeframe. Before you know it, your house will be free of clutter and you will enjoy all the extra space and lack of stress.
As you go through the rooms and spaces in your house, you will probably find that you need a sorting system. For example, you may mark boxes as either, “donations”, “storage”, or “must haves.” Your items should fit into one of these boxes, and if they don’t adjust your system as needed, with the goal in mind to keep it as simplified and stress free as possible!
Above all, enjoy the process! Organization can be fun, and when it comes to a cluttered home, there is no better feeling than reclaiming that space and saving yourself time, money, and unnecessary stress.
